You can even see the flash from the strobe lights when looking out the cockpit side windows.
In conjunction with the Active Sky Next weather engine addon, the radar depicts actual precipitation returns (not clouds!) and gives you full control over tilt, gain and radar mode including turbulence and windshear detection. Weather Radar - included free as part of the SP1 update, the 777 is the first PMDG product to feature a working simulation of the Collins WXR-2100 weather radar. All sounds were recorded on the real airplane. Many cockpit sounds have multiple files behind them that are randomly selected to make each click sound subtly different, just like it does in the real world. Every aspect of the engines is represented here, exactly pitch matched to real life recordings made at every 10% over the engine’s power range. Sounds - A meticulously created soundset that captures the raw power of the GE90-110B1 engines and cockpit environment.
Created with hours of video taken in the real airplane and actual 777 full flight simulator flying experience.
Building on the success of the 737-200, Boeing decided to upgrade it, introducing a the 737 ‘New Generation’ in 1984.
Consisting of -300, -400 and -500 variants, this new generation brought a large number of upgrades to the 737 airframe, including new high bypass engines, new wings and new avionics.
This new family was also a success, with almost 2000 airframes built over the several variants. When Boeing introduced yet another ‘Next Generation’ family of 737’s in the 1990’s, the -100 and -200 were referred to as the ‘Original Series’ and the ‘New Generation’ was rebranded to the ‘Classic Series’ of 737’s. The ‘Next Gen’ 737’s include the -600, -700, -800 and -900 variants, as well as some sub variants, business jet versions and military derivatives. It’s this last family that’s now covered by PMDG: the 737NG for FSX, hence, the NGX. The 737NGX basepack contains the 737-800 and 737-900, both with and without winglets. Installing the PMDG 737 NGX is very simple.
After purchase, you will receive an email with a download link and a serial. The download package is quite large, just shy of 650 MB.
After downloading, all you have to do to install is execute the installer, and follow the instructions on screen. The installer will install the PMDG 737-800/900 NGX Basepack.
