While the choice of using basswood body make the body feels light, the guitar overall feels very strong and solid.
In my personal opinion ,the neck part of this guitar is the most comfortable and solid guitar neck I’ve ever played, and the frets are wonderfully shaped and perfect polished ,even i almost forgotten that they were there. Ibanez has a long history and experience in terms of building incredible shredding guitars, but now with the born of the Prestige RG655 raise the level to a new standard of the indusrty excellency. Using the five piece maple and walnut wood, Super Wizard neck is created with super slim profile but super solid and strong, featuring a standard 25 ½ inch scale, 2 oktave 24 jumbo frets and a rosewood fingerboard with common dot inlays. The pickup segmen consists of a DiMarzio Tone Zone humbucker at the bridge position, a DiMarzio True Velvet single-coil in the middle of body and a DiMarzio Air Norton humbucker at the neck joint, which are precised wired to provide various combination of humbucking and single coil tones via the five way pickup selector toggle switch with master volume and master tone controls knob.
